This Astra Honda Racer Will Compete in IATC 2024 to Make The Country Proud

DRF.com – PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) took part in the 2024 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) racing event with 2 young racers who are ready to compete to make the country proud. The two racers, Kiandra Ramadhipa and M. Rama Putra Septiawan, have prepared physically and mentally to face this racing event.

Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) 2024

This event, which is supported by Dorna Sports (MotoGP promoter), is an event for talented young racers in the Asia and Oceania region to organize their careers in international racing events. The first IATC series this season was held twice at the Luasil International Circuit, Qatar on March 9-10 2024. This event was also held simultaneously with the Qatar MotoGP.

With the NSF250R motorbike, these two racers have achieved positive results by showing promising progress in the pre-test on 17-18 February 2024. Kiandra Ramadhipa, a racer from Sleman, Yogyakarta, managed to be in 7th position with a time of 2:14.205 who has the potential to enter the top group of ATC 2024.

Meanwhile, Rama Putra was the first to try racing with a prototype motorbike on the international circuit. He managed to record a time of 2:16.413 with his initial adaptation, so that Putra also had the opportunity to perform competitively.

Compete with Other Racers from Various Countries

“The pre-test results in Lusail, Qatar gave me several lessons that I need to pay attention to in order to be competitive in IATC 2024. I also have provisions from the wild card results in Mandalika 2023 which make me ready to face the first round of IATC in Lusail with optimism and confidence to give my best ability,” said Dipha.

Andy Wijaya, as General Manager of Marketing Planning & Analysis, said that the two racers trained by AHM (Astra honda Motor) had made very optimal preparations so they were ready to fight against tough competition at IATC 2024.

They are graduates of AHRS (Astra Honda Racing School) who will compete with a total of 20 other young racers from various countries in 6 series throughout the 2024 IATC racing season. Apart from racers from Indonesia, other countries such as Australia, Qatar, India, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. A total of 12 races divided into 6 rounds, namely 2 times at Lusail International Circuit (Qatar), Buddh International Circuit (India), Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit (Indonesia), Mobility Resort Motegi (Japan), Chang International Circuit Buriram (Thailand) and Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia).
