DRF.com – One of the top class adventure motorbikes is the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin which has received important updates for the latest 2024 model. This new model not only comes with a new color, but there are a number of updates or improvements to the engine for better performance than the previous model.
Improvements in The Machinery Sector
Details of the updates to the engine include increasing the compression ratio from 10,1:1 to 10,5:1 and fuel consumption being more economical, adjusting the valve timing and larger intake pipe diameter, which was originally 29 mm to 35 mm, ECU The engine has been retuned so that it can produce around 112 Nm, initially at 105 Nm, with a 6,5 percent higher ratio and lower engine speed from 6.250 rpm to 5.500 rpm. This allows the motorbike to reach peak torque and power more quickly.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin is offered in 2 transmission options, the most highlighted with its DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) transmission and the other with the usual MT or Manual Transmission. The DCT transmission has been updated so that when starting and running at low speeds it will be smoother.
Design Remains The Same from 2021
This adventure style motorbike has a design that remains the same from 2021, the 2024 model only comes with a new color that refreshes its appearance. In this new model there are 2 types to choose from, namely the Adventure Sports ES which is more focused on use on smooth asphalt roads with 19 inch radius rims at the front and 18 inches at the rear with tires for asphalt and the front body has a more aerodynamic design. Meanwhile, the variants usually have dual-purpose tires and a different front body design.
The material used to make the fairing/body of this motorbike uses Durabio material, which is an environmentally friendly bioplastic material. The features include a TFT color screen with 5 levels of screen brightness, automatic turn signals, a new, larger skid plate and the addition of the ETC 2.0 onboard device for owners of this motorbike who want to make it easier to add accessories.

The color choices marketed in Japan will remain the same, including Grand Prix Red in the standard type with a price of 1.749.000 yen or around IDR 183,6 million and Pearl Glare White in the Adventure Sports ES type with a price tag of 1.947.000 yen or equivalent to IDR 204,4 million. Both prices are for the DCT transmission option.
