DRF.com – Honda Japan announced its flagship superbike, namely the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and SP models, which feature a new engine and updates to the electronic system and a new tank. They said that this update will launch on March 1, 2024.
New Machine?
Based on several media sources in Japan, they estimate that later the engine will receive improvements in new engine components. What changes is when the camshaft lifts to open and close the valves, there is also a new piston head shape to increase the engine compression ratio.
This can increase the acceleration of this superbike at medium to high speeds. Not only that, the shape of the engine will be changed and reduce the weight on the crankshaft. Making the engine rotation response more responsive, as well as changing the gear ratio to increase the top speed.

There is information that states that the 2024 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade will be the first motorbike equipped with a Two-Motor Throttle (TBW) system. Uses 2 motors to open and close the throttle valve.
New Tanks and Features
It’s not just the tank that has been redesigned, but also the frame components so that the weight and stiffness are more optimal. So it will improve its performance when turning. There is a new front winglet design that can increase downforce in the front area.
Apart from that, the electronic system has also been improved, such as changes to the Engine Brake Control system due to the TBW system, and individual riding modes have been changed. In the SP version there is a new feature where the driver can enter his body weight (possibly via the instrument panel) so that the front and rear suspension can adjust automatically.

But this is still just an estimate, maybe later there will be something different or not in accordance with what was officially launched. So let’s just wait until March 1 2024, whether the information above is true or not.
