DRF.com – In the entry level adventure scooter class, the Honda ADV160 in several markets is quite popular and successful in sales. To the point that manufacturers from China also follow the same style. Instead, Yamaha launched a sleek, adventure-style scooter called the Zuma 125 model 2024.
Marketed in Several Countries
This motorbike itself is only marketed in certain countries, for example in America which has just officially received the 2024 Zuma model. This is the same scooter as the Yamaha BW’S 125 which is marketed in Taiwan, but apparently the two have a number of differences.
The most visible thing is the design of the headlights, the BW’S has fog lights besides the main lights and the Zuma doesn’t have them. Both handgrips are different, and the instrument panel display format is also not the same. Other parts such as specifications and features may be the same.

The factor that causes the Zuma and BW’S to be different is because both are produced by Yamaha Taiwan, but before being sent to America some parts were changed. Overall both look the same.
125cc Engine Specifications
Yamaha Zuma has a 1 cylinder 125cc Blue Core engine, 4 valves with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), liquid cooled with a compression ratio of 1:11,2. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not reveal how much power and torque this motorbike produces. It weighs quite light at 127 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 6 liters.
Regarding its features, this adventure-style scooter is equipped with a digital display instrument panel, a USB port for charging, a CBS brakes system, a double rear suspension that can be adjusted to 3 levels, and a large trunk capacity that can accommodate a helmet.

Unique asymmetrical headlights, firm and slightly square body curves, front suspension with rubber protection, 12 inch front and rear rims wrapped in semi dual-purpose tires. For the price, Yamaha USA markets the 2024 Yamaha Zuma 125 in 2 color variants (Sand Gray and Matte Black) which sells for 3,799 USD or around IDR 59 million.
