Yamaha R1M
DRF.com – Yamaha UK has announced that the Yamaha Motor Group will stop selling the R1 and R1M superbikes in the European market. It is possible that in the future this motorbike will still be sold, but it will not be street legal or specifically for racing on the same track as the R6 Race.
The manufacturer took this step because the Yamaha R1 and R1M could not pass the Euro5+ emission standards in Europe. As a result, these two motorbikes will no longer be seen on European roads, this has also happened to the Suzuki GSX-R100R which has been discontinued.
Yamaha R1 & R1M
Actually, it’s a shame, because this superbike will no longer be on the road. However, Yamaha said that they would develop a motorbike with a smaller engine capacity. Of course, this smaller model will be more popular because it is lighter and the price is cheaper compared to the premium 1.000cc model.
Yamaha is also reported to have developed the Yamaha R9, this motorbike has many people waiting for its arrival. Therefore, Yamaha is taking steps to focus on developing business and product strategies for future needs.
Yamaha R1
It is very likely that the Yamaha R1 will still be sold, but it will be sold in the same racing version as the Yamaha R6 Race. So, because it is specifically for the track, this superbike doesn’t need to think about exhaust emissions, without mirrors, a special seat, a plain body and also without lights.
