One of them is through Yamaha’s MAXi scooter segment, by launching the newest LEXi LX 155 on January 12 2024.
Carrying the concept of “Simple but MAXi”, this new scooter is present in the premium class by offering MAXimal performance. Not long after its launch in Jakarta, PT. STSJ Surabaya at the end of January 31 released the LEXi LX 155 at The Westin Surabaya and there was also a Dealers Meeting event in the East Java, NTB & Kalimantan area.
New Yamaha LEXi LX 155 Press Conference event in Malang
Unexpectedly, PT. RSSM (Roda Sakti Surya Megah), namely the main dealer of Yamaha Malang, invited me to attend the Yamaha LEXi 155 press conference at Laluna Cafe, Jl. Sigura-gura, Sumbersari, Lowokwaru, Malang on February 1 2024.
In this event, it was explained what new parts, technology, features and advantages of the newest Yamaha LEXi LX 155 which is present in the MAXi 155 line. There was also a quiz and question and answer session with prizes of 2 helmets and 2 jackets.
After that I saw the new scooter from Yamaha directly. My first impression when I saw it in person was different compared to seeing it in the photo. This motorbike looks bigger with an increasingly sporty design with firm body curves.
The LEXi LX 155 is equipped with a 155cc, SOHC 4 valve, liquid-cooled 1-cylinder engine capable of producing 15.1 HP of power at 8,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Surprisingly, this scooter turns out to have the most torque among Yamaha’s MAXi scooter range which uses a 155cc engine.

During yesterday’s event the price tag for OTR Malang, Pasuran, Probolinggo & Lumajang was also revealed as follows:
