Honda Officially Launches Full-Fairing Sportbike CBR400R, Price Nearly 90 Million IDR!

DRF.com – Not long ago, Kawasaki launched a full-fairing sports motorbike with a 400cc 2-cylinder engine, namely the Ninja 400, and now Honda has also just released a new product, the CBR400R, which will be in the 400cc sports motorbike class. This motorbike was launched by Honda Japan and will only be marketed for the Japanese market.

New Design

In terms of design, this motorbike has a new fairing design which is claimed to be more aerodynamic than the previous model. There are now even winglets that are integrated with the side body, so they look unified. They say that the presence of these winglets can reduce air pressure at the top.

Apart from the new design, the suspension system include the SFF-BP upside-down front suspension from Showa and a pair of radial calipers at the front with double discs complete with an ABS system.

Features that complement this motorbike include full-LED lighting, a full-color TFT screen that can be connected to a cellphone, the Honda Selectable Tourqe Control (HSTC) system, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and an assist & slipper clutch system.

The Engine

Regarding its heart, the Honda CBR400R is powered by a 2-cylinder 399cc, DOHC 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine which is capable of producing around 45,3 HP at 9.000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 7.500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank capacity is 17 liters.

The 2024 CBR400R will be marketed in 2 color choices, namely Grand Prix Red with the tricolor color typical of Honda motorbikes and Jet Black Matte Ballistic Black (black doff). Honda Japan has set the price of this full-fairing sportbike at 863,500 yen or around IDR 89,6 million.

The 2024 Honda CBR400R will be present in the Japanese market against other rivals such as the Kawasaki Ninja 400, Yamaha R3, Aprilia RS 457 and KTM RC 390.
