Dakar Rally Style, Kove Moto Launches 800X at Competitive Price

DRF.com – Kove Moto, a manufacturer from China, has just launched the 800X and 800X Rally with dakar rally motorbike style for the US market. This adventure motorbike is available in the middle class at a price that is quite competitive compared to its rivals, namely the Yamaha Tenere 700 and Honda Transalp.

With Dakar Rally Motorcycle Aura

The appearance of this motorbike is thick with the aura of a Dakar rally motorbike because its design is inspired by Dakar racing motorbikes. The manufacturer also participated in racing last year using a 450 Rally specifically for racing. The Kove 800X Rally looks even more like a rally with a special livery.

The Kove 800X itself has the same engine in its class, with parallel-twin engine 799cc, DOHC, air-cooled capable of producing 94 Hp of power at 9.000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 7.500 rpm. With this engine, this adventure motorbike can go up to 185 km/h.

This manufacturer first debuted globally in 2022 and has made significant progress in the global market and also competes in Dakar racing. Now they have opened a dealer in the United States and are ready to release new motorbikes, including the 800X.

Equipment for Adventure

This adventure motorbike is equipped with a number of equipment to support adventure needs, such as 49mm upside-down front suspension and rear monoshock, high ground clearance of around 304mm, Eco and Sport driving modes which can be set on the full-color TFT screen instrument panel.

Kove Moto claims the dry weight of this motorbike is quite light, namely only 165 kg. Kove also launched the 800X Adventure Pro variant, the difference is that this variant is not equipped with a special rally ECU, the suspension is lower so the seat height to the ground is also shorter. However, equipment such as double discs at the front with an ABS system, traction control, cruise control and stirrups are designed for the rear mounting box.

Regarding price, the Kove 800X Adventure Pro is priced at 9.999 USD or around IDR 156,9 million, and the 800X Rally variant is sold for 13.999 USD or the equivalent of IDR 219,9 million. This is a price that is quite competitive with its rivals, for example the Yamaha Tenere 700 in the US is marketed for 10.799 USD or around Rp. 169,5 million.
