AHM Foundation and Collaboration of Young Generation to Develop The Country

DRF.com – Located at the University of Jember (UNEJ) East Java, the AHM (Astra Honda Motor) Foundation is improving the quality of the young generation’s contributions by strengthening support for developing the country through the KKN (Real Work Lecture) program. This activity has the same goal as the government’s MBKM (Free Learning Campus) program.

Collaborating with UNEJ (University of Jember)

By collaborating with UNEJ (University of Jember) and the Jember Regency government, it was opened by the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information at UNEJ – Prof. Drs. Bambang Kuswandi, M.Sc., Ph.D., Chairman of the AHM Ahmad Muhibbuddin Foundation and the Regent of Jember represented by the Jember Regency Government General Administration Assistant Harry Agustriono, ATD., MT. in this One Heart Thematic KKN.

With the theme “One Heart Synergizes to Build the Nation”, KKN students are invited by One Heart Thematic KKN to contribute to society in various programs, for example, economic development in village communities, to waste management.

Their commitment to always contribute to regional development was strengthened through the signing of a cooperation agreement between the AHM Foundation and the University of Jember in the fields of research, development and community service at the UNEJ Faculty of Economics and Business Building.

Through the selection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Future Leaders, the AHM Foundation supports real actions of the younger generation that are beneficial to society in a sustainable manner, and collaborates with various universities in Indonesia.

Various Creative Ideas from 30 Teams

Funding support from the AHM Foundation, a total of 30 teams from various universities with 5 teams with a total of 24 students will run the SDGs Future Leaders program in each region throughout April-December 2024. They were also given appreciation for the best team that ran the program best in last year.

In the final judging session, all participants compete to explain their best social contribution programs that are in line with SDGs goals in front of judges who are competent in their respective fields. The jury assesses them comprehensively, based on the uniqueness of the program, the background of the problem and alternative solutions, as well as their role in participating in society by providing economic, social and environmental impacts.

The AHM Foundation has symbolically handed over the 2024 Education Scholarships for Universities in Indonesia with a total value of IDR 984 million. Apart from these activities, don’t forget that KKN students are provided with safety riding training materials and the formation of School Research Council (DRS) communities as role models and agents of change.

This year, Satu Hati Thematic KKN is determined to develop Semboro village, Jember Regency, East Java in synergy with the Amartha Semboro Village-Owned Enterprise. Students will carry out various activities together with the community, such as preventing environmental pollution and utilizing waste. The AHM Foundation together with students in the field of economics are also developing programs for cultivating magout and catfish, raising chickens, orange picking education, and preserving Semboro batik.
